Our Projects


EKU Training Resource Center partners with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services on several different projects providing services and support throughout the Commonwealth. Please see the individual project links for more detailed information. 


Our partnership with the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID) works to strengthen the state's workforce charged with providing critical treatment, services, and support to individuals and families with behavioral and mental health needs. The statewide evidence-based practice implementation support services (e.g., training, fidelity monitoring, technical assistance, and evaluation) and overall program support delivered through the collaborative efforts of DBHDID and TRC.

Services provided through this partnership include:

  • Substance Abuse Prevention Training, Technical Assistance, and Program Support
  • Substance Abuse Treatment Technical Assistance and Program Support
  • High Fidelity Wraparound Program Implementation Support
  • Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment Program Implementation Support
  • School-based Mental Health Initiative Support—Suicide Prevention
  • Data collection and evaluation for quality assurance
  • Training records management and reporting
  • Continuing education opportunities (conferences and events)

Our partnership with the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services works to strengthen the state's workforce and human services system. The statewide support services and overall program support delivered through the collaborative efforts of DCBS and TRC.

Services provided through this partnership include:

  • Pre-Service, In-Service, Advanced Learning Opportunities
  • Division of Family Support Training, Technical Assistance, and Program Support
  • Division of Protection and Permanency Training, Technical Assistance and Program Support
  • Early Childhood Education Training, Technical Assistance, and Program Support
  • Foster and Adoptive Parent Training, Technical Assistance and Program Support
  • Private Child Care Training, Technical Assistance, and Program Support
  • Data collection and evaluation for quality assurance
  • Training records management and reporting
